IP Type:   Licensable Technology
Title:   Novel Method for Biological Control of Plant Diseases
Inventor:   Haim B.Gunner, Ph.D.,  M
Summary:

A novel bacterium, named ?APM-1? is a biological control of soil-born plant diseases.  APM-1 is shown to be anti-fungal, and highly effective in controlling diseases on turfgrass, such as ?dollar spot? Sclerotinia and ?brown patch? Rhizoctonia, and in bench trials is effective on Pythium and Fusarium, as well.

The unique application system of granular ?micro-ecostations?, ensures its survival and ability to compete amongst native microbe populations in the soil.

APM-1 is a competitive alternate to chemical controls on turfgrass where contamination of water supplies and other environmental concerns are of importance.
