Title:   Quanitification of Chlamydia Infection through Flow Cytometry and Anti-Chlamydial Glycolipid Exoantigen (GLXA) Antibody
Inventor:   E.S. Stuart and L.H. Semprevivo
Summary:

A method of diagnosis for the presence of intracellular Chlamydia pneunmoniae and Chlamydia trachomatis by flow cytometry, borne by blood or other body fluids.  This ?stealth? pathogen is frequently present, but not obvious.  As a result, no tests to detect it are performed, since standard tests are invasive.  This simple technique readily detects and quantifies the presence of Chlamydia, and can be used to track the efficacy of drug and vaccine treatments.
