Title:   A Method for Surface Functionalization of Titanium and Other Metals

Summary:   An innovative process for altering titanium and a wide range of other metal surfaces to adapt a variety of functional characteristics. The process results in a thin, high strength coating on the metal surface. Functional characteristics achieved include improved adsorption, wetting and catalytic properties, improved adhesion, and selective adhesion to metal in silica-metal composites.
