Summary:   The invention is the discovery of a new use for an existing drug being developed by the NCI for other indications. The drug inhibits the production of collagen. Its usefulness is thus in inhibiting disease states which are pathogenic because of the overproduction of collagen. These diseases include scleroderma, keloid, and other fibrotic diseases of the liver, lungs, kidney, and other internal organs or skin.
