Title:   Use of H-2 Antagonists for Treatment of Gingivitis

Summary:   This technology was donated to Dr. van Dyke and Boston University by PandG. The technology describes the use of selctive H2 antagonists, such as Tagamet and Zantac, which are all now off-patent, to treat gingivitis and periodontal disease when applied in a topical formulation such as a mouthwash or a dentifrice. Phase II clinical trials have been successfully completed.
