Title:   Transcriptional Regulation of Cytokines by LITAF and STAT6(B)
Inventor:   Amar, Salomon
Summary:   The present invention relates to the identification of a novel protein that belongs to the STAT family. The novel protein, STAT6(B) activates the expression of various cytokines. LITAF, a transcription factor known to mediate induction of TNF , has been found to interact with STAT6(B) and enhance its effects on cytokines. Additionally, the invention provides the first use of LITAF for modulating the expression of cytokines other then TNF .
