Title:   A Method for the Extension in Two and Three Dimensions of Deterministically Generated Aperiodic Optical Materials
Inventor:   Dal Negro, Luca
Summary:   The invention provides a deterministic method for creating aperiodic structures in 2d and 3d materials. Aperiodic structures in 1d optical materials are known have interesting effects such as large field enhancements. Present invention provides a generalization to 2d and 3d aperiodic structures, and could find application in SERS, LEDs, and other devices.
