Title:   A Computer-aided Quantification Method for Retinal Neovascularization

Summary:   Lois Smith’s laboratory at Children’s Hospital Boston has created a software program called SWIFT-NV to quantify neovascular tufts and clusters in a retinal image. SWIFT-NV consists of a set of macros that run on the NIH’s ImageJ software. The results with the SWIFT-NV software correlate well with the established hand measurement protocols. Included with the program is a manual containing detailed information on how to install and run the software.
